Support with dignity
Helping people in a respectful way, with attention to real everyday needs.
FAITH • COMMUNITY • HOPE
San Nicolas Seed of Faith Foundation is being built around a simple idea: neighbors helping neighbors. From grocery support and community cleanups to youth outings, volunteering and sponsorship, our goal is to create practical ways for people to care for the community together.
Starting small. Growing with the community.
ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
The foundation is beginning with practical projects that can make a visible difference: helping with groceries, bringing residents together to care for San Nicolas, creating positive opportunities for young people and building relationships with volunteers and sponsors.
Helping people in a respectful way, with attention to real everyday needs.
Encouraging residents of different generations to participate, contribute and connect.
Giving children and youth more positive experiences and stronger ties to their community.

THE STORY OF SAN NICOLAS
San Nicolas grew dramatically during Aruba's oil-refining era. The refinery attracted workers and families from across the Caribbean and beyond, helping shape the city's multicultural character, languages, music, food and traditions.
Steel bands, calypso and Carnival traditions became part of the identity of San Nicolas. Even after the refinery's importance declined, that mix of cultures remained part of what makes the city feel different from anywhere else on Aruba.
FROM INDUSTRY TO CULTURE
Oil refining brought new jobs and new residents, turning San Nicolas into one of Aruba's most important working communities.
Caribbean influences helped shape local music, Carnival traditions, food, language and everyday community life.
The closure of the Lago refinery had a major impact on Aruba and pushed the island toward a new economic era led increasingly by tourism.
Today San Nicolas is celebrated for its murals, cultural spaces, local character and strong connection to Aruba's southern communities.

SAN NICOLAS TODAY
San Nicolas is Aruba's second-largest city and is widely known as the island's “Sunrise City.” Its center includes historic buildings, local shops, restaurants and Zeppenfeldstraat, while large-scale murals have helped turn the area into one of Aruba's best-known art districts.
The wider district also connects residents and visitors with some of Aruba's best-known southern beaches, including Baby Beach, Rodger's Beach and Boca Grandi.
OUR COMMUNITY VISION
The first programs are intentionally simple. Each one creates a clear way for residents, volunteers and sponsors to take part.
Collecting and distributing grocery packages and basic essentials for residents who need temporary support.
Help support a package →Bringing volunteers together for neighborhood cleanups and encouraging shared responsibility for public spaces.
See the idea →Organizing positive outings and activities that give children and teens opportunities to learn, connect and enjoy their community.
Focus on youth →Connecting people, organizations and businesses that want to contribute time, products, services or financial support.
Become a supporter →CLEAN SAN NICOLAS
A cleanup day can be more than collecting litter. It can bring neighbors, families, young people and local businesses together around one visible goal: caring for the community.
As the foundation grows, cleanup events can become a simple entry point for new volunteers and a way to involve youth in meaningful service.
I would like to volunteer →
CHILDREN & YOUTH
The foundation wants young people to be part of the community, not only recipients of support. Outings, volunteer activities and intergenerational projects can help build confidence, responsibility and belonging.
When young people are invited to participate, they begin to see that San Nicolas is also theirs to care for, enjoy and help shape.
LOOKING AHEAD
A growing circle of volunteers and sponsors who can respond when the community needs practical help.
Regular outings, volunteer projects and positive experiences for children and teens in and around San Nicolas.
Cleanups, food support and local activities with clear goals and visible benefits for residents.
